Why we introduced paid plans
Importio started as a completely free app. As we’ve grown and added more features — multi-marketplace support, Amazon review import, auto-sync — keeping everything free and sustainable became impossible.
Rather than charge everyone upfront, we chose a freemium model: a genuinely useful Free plan that lets you try the app properly, and a Pro plan for merchants who want to scale without limits.

The 5-product limit explained
This is the part most merchants ask about — so let’s be very clear about how it works.
Your quota counts the number of unique products you’ve used Importio with, whether that’s importing a product from Amazon or importing reviews for a product already in your store. The limit is 5 products total on the Free plan.

Important: deleting a product does not free up a slot
If you delete a product from Importio, the quota slot is not returned. Choose your 5 products wisely on the Free plan, or upgrade to Pro for unlimited products.

Frequently asked questions
I already have products imported — do they count toward my 5-product limit?
Yes. Any product currently managed in Importio counts toward your quota. If you already have 5 products in the app, you’re at the Free plan limit and will need to upgrade to add more.
I only want to import reviews for products I already have in Shopify — does this count?
Yes. Importing reviews for an existing Shopify product uses 1 quota slot — the same as importing a product from Amazon. The 5-product limit applies to all products you use Importio with, regardless of whether you imported the product or just the reviews.
What happens if I reach the 5-product limit?
The “Import new products” button will be disabled in your Product Manager, and you’ll see a notice explaining you’ve reached the Free plan limit. Your existing 5 products continue working normally — you just can’t add new ones until you upgrade.
Can I get my quota slot back if I delete a product?
No. Deleting a product from Importio does not return the quota slot. If you need to manage more than 5 products, upgrading to Pro is the right move.
What does auto-sync actually do?
Auto-sync runs two things automatically for Pro users: (1) Product info sync — every 24 hours, Importio checks Amazon and updates your Shopify product’s price, title, and availability. (2) Review sync — when new reviews appear on Amazon for your products, they’re automatically imported to your store without you needing to do anything.
How does the 7-day free trial work?
When you click “Start 7-day free trial,” you get full Pro access immediately with no charge. After 7 days, your Shopify account is billed automatically. You can cancel at any time before the 7 days are up and you won’t be charged anything.
What happens to my data if I cancel or downgrade?
Your imported products and reviews stay in your Shopify store — they’re stored as Shopify data, not locked to Importio. If you downgrade to Free, you keep your 5 products working but auto-sync and advanced layouts will be disabled.
